The district committee voted Tuesday in Fisherville to overturn the original results, according to Breitbart News.<\/p>\n<h2>What Sparked the Dispute<\/h2>\n<p>The February 12 meeting at the Front Royal Volunteer Fire Department drew more than 400 attendees and generated allegations of voting irregularities. Affidavits submitted with Lloyd\u2019s appeal claimed the voting process was disorganized and that ineligible individuals may have received ballots.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-3\">\n<div data-type=\"_mgwidget\" data-widget-id=\"2056502\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Some conservatives alleged they were denied entry to the meeting, preventing them from voting. Other attendees said they were not informed that arriving after 7 p.m. would prevent them from registering and participating.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting also involved restructuring the county committee from 251 members down to 102, despite receiving approximately 180 membership applications. The handling of those applications became a major point of contention in the dispute.<\/p>\n<h2>Allegations of Impropriety<\/h2>\n<p>Sources cited by Breitbart alleged that officials aligned with one candidate were involved in reviewing membership applications used to determine committee eligibility. Questions also arose about crowd control at the meeting, with reports that some individuals were turned away after proceedings began.<\/p>\n<p>One attendee alleged that Sheriff Crystal Cline pushed her while attempting to enter the meeting. The allegation has not been independently established.<\/p>\n<h2>What Happens Next<\/h2>\n<p>The Sixth District committee\u2019s decision to overturn the election leaves the leadership race unresolved. If an appeal is filed within 30 days, the matter will move to a special five-member Republican Party of Virginia panel.<\/p>\n<p>That panel would include two members selected by Lloyd, two chosen by his opponent, and a fifth selected jointly by both sides.
