Dane\u2019s death, reported on Feb. 17, 2026, brings to a close a career that stretched across more than three decades and included television dramas, feature films and some of the most recognizable characters in modern television. The actor became especially well known for portraying Dr. Mark Sloan on\u00a0Grey\u2019s Anatomy<\/em>, a role that earned him the enduring nickname \u201cMcSteamy.\u201d<\/p>\n
