The owner of a famous pro-America and President Donald Trump-themed residence in southern California died from injuries he suffered during a brutal, alleged attack by a stranger last week.<\/p>\n
Police said Kerry Sheron, 69, died Sunday night after being in critical condition at the hospital for several days.<\/i><\/p>\n American flags and pro-Trump paraphernalia.<\/p>\n The attack happened outside Sheron\u2019s house, which had been the subject of complaints and vandalism for years.<\/p>\n Deputy District Attorney Ross Garcia described the brutal attack, reportedly by 32-year-old Thomas Caleb Butler.<\/p>\n According to NBC 7, Sheron was punched in the jaw once and collapsed to the ground before the suspect beat him many more times in the head.<\/p>\n A brief search found Butler, who was arrested without incident and charged with attempted murder.<\/p>\n The San Diego County District Attorney\u2019s Office is \u201creviewing the circumstances to determine whether charges will be amended,\u201d police said.<\/p>\n A friend of Butler\u2019s said he was a Navy veteran with PTSD.<\/p>\n The California Post quoted the acquaintance as saying that Butler \u201csits in his room and thinks everyone is coming to get him\u201d and that his condition was worsened despite treatment.<\/p>\n \u201cThis is the guy that plays with Legos and Star Wars stuff,\u201d Butler\u2019s friend reportedly said.<\/p>\n Around 2:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Escondido, California, police officers responded to reports of an assault at the intersection of East Mission Avenue and Buchanan Street, adjacent to the \u201cTrump House.\u201d<\/p>\n They located a male, later identified as Sheron, \u201csuffering from significant injuries.\u201d<\/p>\n Police said a bystander who interfered during the alleged incident was also injured.<\/p>\n His wife, Maria Garcia, told The Post last week she didn\u2019t expect her husband to survive.<\/p>\n Garcia also believed the attack was politically motivated.<\/p>\n \u201cHe tried to kill my husband, you know,\u201d she told CBS 8. \u201cIt\u2019s terrible. I don\u2019t know what kind of hate\u2026 what heart, the black heart.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThey don\u2019t like the flags. I don\u2019t know why. I support America.
