Leavitt confirmed Friday that she plans to rejoin MAGA Inc., the Trump-aligned<\/strong><\/p>\n

Speaking with reporters aboard Air Force One, Leavitt made clear that her departure from the White House will not mean stepping away from Trump\u2019s political movement.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou guys will still see me all the time,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Leavitt\u2019s transition follows Trump\u2019s announcement earlier this month that she would leave the administration to spend more time with her family and two young children.<\/p>\n

At 28, Leavitt made history when she became the youngest White House press secretary in U.S. history after Trump returned to office in January 2025. Her tenure placed her at the center of the administration\u2019s daily communications strategy and made her one of Trump\u2019s most recognizable public representatives.<\/p>\n

Her return to MAGA Inc. also represents a continuation of an earlier chapter in her political career. Before joining Trump\u2019s 2024 presidential campaign as national press secretary, Leavitt worked with the super PAC. She also previously served in the White House press office during Trump\u2019s first administration.<\/p>\n

Leavitt announced her departure after returning from maternity leave following the birth of her daughter in May. She described the decision as difficult, saying the demanding schedule of the press secretary\u2019s position had become increasingly difficult to balance with motherhood.<\/p>\n

She also emphasized that her political work was not ending.<\/p>\n

\u201cPresident Trump has asked me to continue serving as a top advisor to him on the outside,\u201d she said, adding that she would remain an advocate for the MAGA movement and Republican Party.<\/p>\n

Trump has strongly praised Leavitt\u2019s performance, calling her one of his most trusted aides and highlighting her work defending his administration and political agenda.<\/p>\n

Vice President JD Vance and other senior officials have likewise praised her communications skills and effectiveness in dealing with reporters.<\/p>\n

Her departure nevertheless leaves Trump facing an important communications vacancy. As of Monday, the president had not publicly announced who will succeed Leavitt as White House press secretary.<\/p>\n
