President Donald Trump returned to the United States on Friday morning after a high-stakes trip to China.<\/em>\u00a0It didn\u2019t take long for Trump to share a myriad of updates on the trip to Truth Social. \u201cI am proud to announce the site of the NATIONAL GARDEN OF AMERICAN HEROES. This magnificent exhibition of statues will be located in West Potomac Park, which we are transforming into one of the World\u2019s most beautiful public spaces,\u201d Trump began. \u201cRight now, it is a totally BARREN field of Prime Waterfront Real Estate along our Mighty Potomac River,\u201d he said. \u201cWhen finished, West Potomac Park will be a World Class Masterpiece with elegant Landscaping, and adorned with Beautiful Statues, and be yet another one of my great projects to make Washington, D.C., the Safest and Most Beautiful Capital in the World,\u201d Trump wrote.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe National Garden of American Heroes will feature the MOST BEAUTIFUL collection of statues of AMERICAN HEROES, featuring our Illustrious Founding Fathers, Military Warriors, Religious Leaders, Civil Rights Champions, World Class Athletes, Artists, Entertainers, and MORE,\u201d he continued. \u201cThe people of America (and the World!) will come here to learn and be inspired by the \u201cGreats\u201d. The National Garden of American Heroes is one more project we are undertaking to honor the 250th Birthday of the Greatest Nation on Earth, THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA! President DONALD J. TRUMP,\u201d the president concluded.<\/p>\n

Trump then posted a photo of the golden statue of himself that was unveiled last month at the Trump National Doral Miami resort. \u201cThis is a statue, now standing at Doral, that was commissioned by a large group of political supporters who just wanted a statue of yours truly. I very much appreciate their support, and all that they went through to get it done!\u201d Trump wrote. \u201cThey are very good people. Those playing the Blue Monster, at Doral, are absolutely in love with it. Congratulations to all involved. With time, it will become a Landmark! President DJT,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Trump Discusses White House and China<\/h2>\n

Trump also took an opportunity to touch on one of his favorite topics, the White House ballroom, saying that \u201cChina has a Ballroom, and so should the U.S.A.!\u201d: \u201cChina has a Ballroom, and so should the U.S.A.! It\u2019s under construction, ahead of schedule, and will be the finest facility of its kind anywhere in the U.S.A.,\u201d Trump wrote. \u201cThank you for all the support I have been given in getting this project going. Scheduled opening will be around September of 2028. The man I am walking with is President Xi, of China, one of the World\u2019s Great Leaders! President DONALD J. TRUMP,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

During a face-to-face meeting with the Chinese leader, Trump admitted to Xi that he often calls him \u201ca great leader,\u201d though he is sometimes criticized for doing so. \u201cYou are a great leader. I say it to everybody, you are a great leader. Sometimes people don\u2019t like me saying it, but I say it because it\u2019s true. I always say the truth,\u201d Trump said.<\/p>\n

Trump Extends White House Invitation to Xi<\/h2>\n

During a state dinner earlier, Trump invited Xi Jinping and his wife, Madam Peng, to visit the White House on September 24. Xi\u2019s last visit to the White House was in September 2015, when he was hosted by President Barack Obama. Xi last visited the United States in November 2023, when he traveled to San Francisco for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit. During that visit, he met with then-President Joe Biden on the sidelines of the summit. Before his latest trip to Beijing, Trump last met with Xi in person at the APEC summit in South Korea in October 2025.<\/p>\n
